Trust Before the Doorbell

Make the Service Company Easy to Recognize Before the Doorbell Rings

HVAC and plumbing vehicles spend their days in neighborhoods, commercial lots, supply houses, and traffic. A clear fleet identity helps customers connect repeated route exposure with the same service company and gives technicians a consistent arrival across every division.

Strong layouts prioritize the company, HVAC or plumbing category, and one response path. Service lists, emergency availability, financing, guarantees, licenses, certifications, and association marks should appear only when the contractor confirms they are current, accurate, and authorized.

We adapt the system to the work vehicle rather than forcing one flat design onto every body. Ladder racks, conduit or pipe carriers, tanks, compartment doors, caps, steps, cameras, and open-door positions all shape the usable graphic area.

The Service Fleet We Wrap Every Week

We've wrapped every standard service vehicle on the road. Here's what your fleet probably looks like and how we approach each.

Most Common Mercedes Sprinter (144/170, High Roof)

Mercedes Sprinter (144/170, High Roof)

The flagship HVAC/plumbing van. 170 HR gives the largest wrap canvas — full "before/after" panels. Rear barn doors are a fourth marketing surface most shops forget.

We treat the rear barn doors as dedicated marketing real estate — that's the panel your customers stare at in traffic. For Sprinters we recommend full-panel license # and 24/7 phone on both sides.
Ford Transit (Medium/High Roof)

Ford Transit (Medium/High Roof)

Most-wrapped van in the tri-state. Slight body curve we account for in the proof. 3M 8519/8520 laminate handles NJ winter road salt and pressure-wash cycles.

Transits come in standard and high roof — the high roof adds ~30% more wrap canvas on the side panels. We design differently for each to maximize visual impact at driveway distance.
Ram ProMaster (1500/2500/3500)

Ram ProMaster (1500/2500/3500)

Flat sides, square corners — easiest van to wrap and the best canvas for big graphics. Popular with drain cleaning and sewer service companies.

The flat ProMaster side panel can fit a true-scale photo of a sewer camera image or hydro jet. We've done several ProMasters with full-bleed plumbing imagery that stops traffic.
Chevy Express / GMC Savana

Chevy Express / GMC Savana

Older platform, still common in 5–15 year fleets. Body rivets and cargo door split require careful seam planning.

We split graphics on a panel-break logic, not center-line, so rivets don't run through your phone number. These vans wrap well — they just need a different template approach.
Service-Body Pickup (F-250/F-350/Ram 2500)

Service-Body Pickup (F-250/F-350/Ram 2500)

Every compartment door, hinge, latch, seam, and working surface affects the usable graphic area.

We scope the actual body from photos and measurements. Coverage and material are selected around access, condition, abrasion, and maintenance, and unsuitable areas may be excluded.
Box Truck / Isuzu NPR (16–18 ft)

Box Truck / Isuzu NPR (16–18 ft)

For commercial mechanical contractors hauling rooftop units, sheet metal, or large boiler installs. 16-foot billboard.

We use 3M IJ180Cv3 with 3M 8519 laminate for the long-life warranty. The box gives you the largest single-surface canvas of any commercial vehicle.
The Trust Stack

What Belongs on Your Van (and Where)

A good HVAC or plumbing wrap is not a piece of artwork — it's a checklist. Here's the trust stack that wins residential service calls.

annotated side-view diagram of service van wrap — callout numbers at each element

1License Number — Front & Center

NJ Master Plumber #, NJ HVACR Contractor License #, NY DCA, or PA HIC#. Minimum 2" character height, contrast-stacked, both sides. Homeowners increasingly check the number against state lookup before letting a tech in.

2Badge Row — BBB, NATE, EPA, Energy Star

Horizontal row across the lower body panel. Use logos you have the right to display. We audit certification status during proof review — no shop should print an expired NATE badge.

3Family-Owned / Years In Business

"Family Owned Since 1998" or "Serving NJ Since 2002" — one of the highest-converting micro-signals on a residential service van. Placed under the company name or as a roof-line treatment.

424/7 Emergency Phone — Big & One Color

6-inch character height, readable from 50 feet. Red for plumbing emergency, blue or orange for HVAC. "NO HIDDEN FEES" or "FREE ESTIMATES" stacked below.

5Service List — Color-Coded

AC · Heat · Boiler · Water Heater · Drain Cleaning · Sewer · Mini-Split — listed so a homeowner scanning the van knows if you solve their specific problem. Blue for plumbing, red for heating.

6Payment & Financing Icons

Synchrony, GreenSky, "0% Financing Available" — small icons at the panel bottom. Higher-ticket installs close better when the financing logo is visible during the estimate.

7Franchise Color Compliance

One Hour Heating, Roto-Rooter, Mr. Rooter, Benjamin Franklin — we match Pantone exactly from your vendor-supplied art and route the proof through your franchise marketing lead.

How We Wrap a Service Fleet Without Killing Your Schedule

1

Consultation & Brand Audit

Walk through current branding, license display, franchise spec. Photograph one van to understand body, rack system, and condition. Confirm license numbers and certification badges. 1–2 days.

2

Design & Proof

Vehicle-specific proof — driver, passenger, rear, hood. Two revision rounds. Franchise customers get proof routed through brand marketing lead. 3–5 days.

3

Print & Lamination

Printed on 3M IJ180Cv3 at our Linden facility. UV-laminated with 3M 8519 gloss or 8520 matte. Color-matched to your Pantone standard. 2–3 days.

4

Installation

We confirm how racks, ladders, accessories, and removable equipment affect access before scheduling. Fleet installations can be phased by unit when practical; timing and project coordination depend on the approved scope and production calendar.

HVAC & Plumbing Wrap FAQs

Can you wrap my service van with the ladder rack still installed?
Yes. We wrap the body around the installed rack — Adrian Steel, Prime Design, Ranger Design, Holman. The roof seal stays intact, wiring stays intact, and you don't pay for removal/reinstall. The small area under rack feet is trimmed cleanly.
How long is my van off the road for a wrap?
Downtime depends on van size, coverage, surface preparation, old-graphic removal, artwork approval, material availability, quantity, and the current production calendar. We confirm the installation window after reviewing the actual vehicle and approved scope; fleet work can be phased by unit when practical.
Can you add plumbing or HVACR license information to the van?
Yes. We can place contractor-supplied license and registration information in readable locations. The business should verify current requirements, wording, size, placement, and authorization before approving the proof.
Can you match my franchise colors exactly?
Yes. We work from your franchise-supplied vector artwork and Pantone standards. Our in-house print operation calibrates to Delta-E of 2 or better. We route a digital proof through your franchise marketing lead before cutting any vinyl.
How much does it cost to wrap a Sprinter or Transit for HVAC?
Full wrap: $3,800–$4,800. Partial (sides + rear): $2,400–$3,400. Lettering with logo + badges: $650–$1,400. Fleet discounts at 3+ vehicles (10% off) scaling to 20% off at 15+.
How long does a wrap last on a van that runs every day?
5–7 years with our premium 3M IJ180Cv3 cast vinyl and UV lamination. Service vans washed regularly and parked under cover get the longest life. We recommend hand wash twice a month — no high-pressure on edges.
Can you use removable vinyl on a leased service van?
We offer removable vehicle-wrap films and inspect the surface before installation. Removal results depend on paint condition, repairs, repainting, corrosion, film, age, exposure, and removal conditions, so paint condition and lease-return acceptance cannot be guaranteed. Confirm modification terms with the lessor first.
Can you wrap a service-body pickup with compartment doors?
Service-body trucks are scoped from photos and measurements of the actual body. Compartment doors, hinges, latches, seams, handles, working surfaces, condition, coverage, and material all affect the design, installation, and price; unsuitable or high-wear areas may be excluded.
Do I need to remove my old decals before a wrap?
No — we prep the vehicle as part of installation, including removing existing decals, cleaning the body, and inspecting for damage. Prep is included unless the van has heavy residue from old wraps.
When's the best time to wrap an HVAC or plumbing fleet?
The best window is the one that fits your dispatch demand, vehicle availability, approval cycle, surface preparation, material availability, and our current calendar. Share blackout periods and target dates early so a phased fleet plan can be evaluated.
